Geoffrey DavidPAYNEThe family of Geoffrey David Payne of Swinton wish to announce his peaceful passing on 16th July aged 90yrs. He will be sadly missed by his wife Audrey, son Andrew, daughter-in-law Ann and grandchildren; Alexandra and her husband Paul; Andrew and his wife Cate. He was also the proud great grandfather of Macsen and Lily.
He was a dedicated and respected elder of the Christian Brethren at Bethesda Hall, Swinton. He spent his life preaching the word of God at home and abroad. He created the Egypt Christian Fund, which helped to build schools, medical centres, an orphanage and Christian conference centres. He lived for his family and stayed true to his faith.
The funeral service is to be held on 8th August by Mr Stephen Baker at 11.30am at Bethesda Hall, Swinton followed by the burial service at Swinton Cemetery at 1pm. Anyone who knew Geoff is welcome to attend and celebrate his life and works.
